What is Block Blast?

Block Blast is a free online block puzzle game where you drag and drop different shaped pieces onto an 8×8 grid. Fill complete rows or columns to clear them and earn points. The game challenges your strategic thinking — every move counts!

How to Play Block Blast

Each turn you receive three block shapes in the tray at the bottom. Drag any block onto the grid to place it. When a full row or column is completed, it clears and earns you points. Place all three blocks to receive the next set. The game ends when none of the current blocks can fit on the board.

Controls

On desktop, use your mouse to drag and drop blocks onto the grid. On mobile and tablet, tap and drag with your finger. The game is fully responsive and works on any device.

Scoring & Combos

You earn 1 point per block cell placed, plus 10 points per cell in every cleared row or column. Clear multiple lines at once to activate a COMBO multiplier that dramatically boosts your score. Aim to clear rows and columns simultaneously for the highest scores.

Tips & Strategy

Think before you place — look at all three available pieces before committing. Keep the center of the board clear for flexible placement. Avoid leaving single-cell gaps that are impossible to fill. Aim to clear both a row and a column with a single piece for maximum combo potential.
